Seriously, when a website starts with a statement like Viagra for the brain like the official Cogniflex website does I am a bit startled. They definitely achieved their goal, got my attention. I have tried several different supplements which claim to make me smarter and incredibly at school and work yet they have either simply not delivered or the website was a complete scam and I was robbed blind. In this case, the website seems quite different than the ones that I have reviewed so far, offers quite a bit more information, and in general it looks like it had a bit more effort put into it than the rest.
I am overworked and trying to get the manager’s position so I am pulling in extra hours, not to mention that I am still going to night school trying to complete my bachelor’s degree which has added to the overall stress. I heard about brain supplements about 8 months ago and have tried several since then but still without much result. Here goes hoping.
What is Cogniflex
They claim that their supplement is different than anything else on the market. One thing that kind of took me off guard and honestly somewhat lost me is that they claim that your concentration will improve by 312% which is quite an absurd number yet very exact. I would love to see some studies proving this. This alongside boosting your energy, enhancing your memory, and even helping you increase your IQ by 77% (which is absolutely absurd) are all listed benefits of the supplement.
They claim that this is all possible through nootropics which are also called “smart supplements” which have been used throughout history to improve overall mental functions. The supplement is composed of compounds which have been proven time and again to be the building blocks for maintaining healthy neurotransmitters. Each specifically chosen for its safety and effectiveness.
How Does Cogniflex Work
So, the official website doesn’t necessarily have a specific list of ingredients where they discuss the benefits of each but rather discuss them here and there throughout the website. One of the ingredients they discuss is Phosphatidylserine which is one of the main ingredients. They claim that it is featured in the Pharmaceutical Research Magazine but no link for this research is provided. They claim that in this study they note that it helps people improve their scores in memory and overall intelligence tests. Also featured in Total Health Magazine where they discuss that it helps improve the general cognitive performance, but once again no link for studies is provided.
Omega 3 is another ingredient discussed which they claim helps ward off anxiety and boosts positivity through patterns in peer to peer studies but once again no link is provided. It is also proven to have neuroprotective qualities too. Phosphatidylcholine is also discussed claiming it has the ability to metabolize acetylcholine which is known as a “learning” neurotransmitter. The last ingredient discussed is Bacopa Monnieri which has been used for its enhancing effect on an individual’s cognition and is a powerful anti-oxidant which is known to increase cerebral blood flow and regulate the release of serotonin.
All are great ingredients, and all have possibilities of being beneficial. One thing to remember is that regardless that they are natural there is always the chance of side effects. You can click on each of the ingredients to get more information from their corresponding WebMD websites. I highly recommend you read through each of them and find out as much as possible on each of the ingredients by researching studies online, but unfortunately none of the mentioned studies are provided here for confirmation.
Benefits of Taking Cogniflex
Of course they discuss the numerous benefits. Aside from being all natural and stating that the product is designed in an FDA Licensed Lab they provide a list of benefits you can expect from this supplement:
- Improves your ability to concentrate and focus on tasks and information
- Make info processing and overall ability to learn much faster
- Protects your brains’ ability to function consistently and correctly
- Combats the decline of age related memory recall problems
- Neutralizes the negative effects from oxidative stress
- Increases a healthy blood flow and the utilization of oxygen in the brain
One thing to remember though is that supplements, regardless if they are designed in an FDA Licensed Lab, are not actually regulated by the FDA as they are not drugs. Considering that all ingredients are all natural there is no guarantee that they are effective and that claims made by the official website can be backed as most ingredients are actually not thoroughly researched or are in the process of being researched.
One thing that did catch my attention and really gave me hope in this product is that at least I can tell it is not a scam. One of the most common scams is having a “free” trial offer which states that you get a month’s supply to try. Unfortunately, that is far from true as you get only a few days to try the product so never get caught up in one of these. In this case there are NO MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMS no additional fees, and no restocking. They have 3 options available:
- 5 Month Supply – $149.95
- 3 Month Supply – $97.42
- 1 Month Supply – $39.95 + $9.95 Shipping and Handling
I have currently ordered the 1 month supply. I will add onto this review once I have tried it but it definitely seems quite promising. Though I am never 100% certain anymore with any supplement and as I am well aware that where one supplement may work for some it may be completely ineffective for others so I am going to risk it considering the low price. I don’t think that Cogniflex is a scam and I do believe that it really could be an effective supplement considering the ingredients found in it.
